Venue:The Knowledge and Innovation Challenge Conference: Scaling up Disruptive Digital Technologies in Kenyan Agriculture: Developing a Knowledge and Innovation Eco-System for million farmers, will be at the Villa Rosa Kempinski Hotel, Nairobi Kenya on April 5 and 6, 2019.

Visa:For those nationalities that require visas upon arrival, it is advisable to do so online

VaccinationYellow Fever vaccine is a requirement for all persons traveling to Kenya, you will be required to provide your certificate as proof.

AccommodationParticipants coming from outside Nairobi are expected to arrive and check in at hotels of their choice preferably around Westlands area. We have a negotiated rate of USD 215 per night (inclusive of breakfast and taxes) with the Kempinski Hotel. Kindly email with your request and indicate that you are one of our delegates.

Travel InsuranceKindly note that you are not covered under any travel, medical, accidental death, life or other insurance carried by World Bank. You may, however, take out your own travel insurance policy for this particular mission.

Meals/Bar/ExtrasA buffet lunch with an accompanying soft drink will be served on all days of the meetings to all. There will be a complimentary cocktail served to all guests on 5th April at the same venue.

Special Dietary and Mobility NeedsPlease let us know if you have special dietary or mobility needs to enable us to serve you better.

Name BadgeAll registered delegates and accompanying persons will be issued with a name badge. For security and identification purposes we require you to wear the name badge at all time during the Conference and at social functions. Delegates and accompanying persons without a name badge may be refused entry to conference sessions and/or to social functions.

WeatherNairobi is mostly cloudy temperatures ranging between 27° to 15° Carry with you appropriate clothing.

Electric VoltageCurrent is 220/240AC 50HZ. Kenya uses 240v 13amp 3 flat pin type sockets, similar to the ones used in the UK. In order to use USA devices in Kenya, make sure to have a travel adapter to convert 240v to 110v.

LiabilityThe event organizing committee shall not be liable for personal accidents or losses or damage to private property suffered or caused by registered delegates and accompanying persons of the event. Delegates are encouraged to make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance.
